Can I create a Topsite that is not in the English language?
Answer: Topsites and all Topsite members sites linking from Topsites must be in English language, unless the Topsites in an ad-free Topsites.

What is an ad-free Topsites?
Answer: An ad-free Topsites is a Topsites with no Ultimate Topsite ad banners on it.

Why is Ultimate Topsites free for English language Topsites and not for Topsites that are not in English language?
Answer: Ultimate Topsites is free for English language Topsites because the sponsor ads that Ultimate Topsites displays on the Topsites are in the English language. Ultimate Topsites does not have sponsors for languages other than English.

My vote picture doesn't show up.
Answer: The vote picture does not show up until the web page is on the server.
It won't show up until after you upload your web page to your server.
Also, the vote picture will only show up for web sites listed on your Topsites.
If you are using one of those url forwarding services don't put that url.
Put your real url, the one that your web pages are on, otherwise the vote picture won't show up.

I just created a Topsites list with you and it isn't working...?
Did you click on any of the vote pictures? A site has to have at least one vote in to show up on the Topsites. When a person joins they are given code, they need to put that on their web site and at least click on it once for their site to show up. You won't see the sites banners on the Topsites until they click on the vote picture. If they don't have the code anymore they can get it by logging in from the Topsites where it says members edit.
To have sites show up with no votes in, choose "yes" where it reads "Do you want all sites to show up on the Topsites or just sites with at least 1 vote in?" from your Topsites edit section.

How Many Times Can A Member Vote?
Answer: For Topsites that aren't Ad free a person can vote once a day for each member they choose to on the topsites. That means if a topsites has 20 members, a person can vote up to 20 times that day. One vote for each member on the topsites. Any additional votes that same day won't be counted. Only unique votes are counted. Topsites that are Ad free can choose how many votes a member can make.

The Topsites Don't Update When It Should.
Answer: The Topsites only updates when new unique votes are clicked in. If no new unique votes are clicked in then it won't update. Unless the topsites is counting page loads there will be no changes in votes to see anyway. Topsites that are counting page loads also only update when a new unique vote is clicked in.

I clicked on the vote picture and the Topsites list still isn't working, the sites aren't showing up.
Answer: Try hitting your refresh button, if they still don't show up, make sure the voting code on the members web page is correct. Also, new sites won't show up on the Topsites until the next Topsites update.

The rankings are not working properly. For example, the person in 7th place on the Topsite, on their vote picture it shows the number 6 and the person who is in 6th place on the Topsite, their vote picture shows the number 5 on their site. I have checked all my vote pictures and they are all in order with the proper numbers.
Answer: If all the vote pictures are correct, then the reason it is showing different is because it is ranking the members live when the vote pictures are loaded to a members web page. The rankings on the Topsites aren't live, they only change each Topsite update. So they may not always coincide but the rankings are correct.

When I created my Topsites there was a question that asks:
Besides counting Hits In from the vote picture, do you want Hits In to be counted by how many visitors your members web site gets? What does this mean?
Answer: What this means is everytime someone visits one of your Topsite members web sites a Hit In is added to your Topsites for that member. The vote picture doesn't have to be clicked on for a vote to count.

How do I get my Topsites in the Topsites Directory and Search Engine?
Answer: The Directory and Search Engine is updated periodically. Please be patient, if your Topsites isn't in the Directory or Search Engine, it will be put in at the next update. Each Topsite has to be checked out before it can be put in.
Before Topsites can be put in the Directory and Search Engine they need to meet the following:
Topsite has unique weekly visitors and have suitable content for all ages.
Topsites that have Last Update dates on their Topsites page over 45 days old are subject to deletion and if deleted the Topsite is removed from the directory and search engine.
Joining your own Topsites and putting the vote picture on your Web Site where people will see it, will give you unique visitors to your Topsites and constantly refresh your Last Update date on your Topsites.

My Topsites was in the Topsites Directory and Search Engine and now I can't find it!
To keep the Directory fresh, each time the Directory is updated it checks each Topsite for weekly visitors. If a Topsite isn't receiving weekly visitors it is removed from the Directory. It will appear back in the Directory when it starts receiving weekly visitors. Also, the search engine is purged frequently and it takes a while to build it back up.

How do I change the background image or background color on my Topsites.
Answer: You need to go to your edit page and make sure you have the image or color in the HTML body tag in the header part.

I can't seem to get the Vote Picture Url to show up. All that I see is a box with a red X in the corner.
Answer: Make sure the vote picture URL address is correct. Picture URLS end in gif, jpg, art, ect.
Picture URLS do not end in html or htm.
Right: http://www.mysite.com/pictures/vote.jpg
Wrong: http://www.mysite.com/pictures/vote.html
Also, this could be caused by the server your picture is on.

Banners are not showing up. I tried different banners and servers. And still a box with a red x appears.
Answer: Many free hosting sites such as Geocities, Angelfire, Tripod etc. don't allow banners on their servers to be used on web pages unless the web pages are on their server.
Try contacting the company you get the Internet through and see if they offer web space for personal home pages for their subscribers. Most of them offer this service to their subscribers to create web pages and store files, try putting your banner there.

How do I edit and make changes to my Topsites?
Answer: Login at the Member Login with your username and password.
And you can edit and make changes to your Topsites there.

I made edit changes to my Topsites but it doesn't seem to show the changes on the Topsites pages.
Answer: When you make changes to your Topsites, you may have to hit your refresh button to see the changes.

My Topsites doesn't seem to update when it should.
Answer: The Topsites only updates when someone clicks in on a vote picture, if it is past the update time and someone clicks in then the Topsite will update itself.
That's what updates your Topsites. If no one clicks in on a vote picture it won't update. People need to be clicking in for it to update.
You can update your Topsites anytime from the edit section by clicking the change button.
The time displayed on your Topsites is Pacific Time.
Make sure you hit your refresh button to see the latest version of your Topsites.

Why was my Topsites deleted?
Topsites that have Last Update dates on their Topsites page over 45 days old are automactically deleted and the Topsite is removed from the directory and search engine.
Joining your own Topsites and putting the vote picture on your Web Site where people will see it, will give you unique visitors to your Topsites and constantly refresh your Last Update date on your Topsites.

Can I put paid sponsor advertisements on my Topsites page?
Answer: Yes, you can put paid sponsor advertisements on your Topsites.

What is hits-in and hits-out?
Answer: Hits-in is the number of votes that come in from a members site and hits-out is the number of hits out from the Topsites to a members site.

What is the update time for?
Answer: The update time is the time when all in and out hits are updated.

What is the reset time?
Answer: The reset time is when all in and out hits are reset to zero.

What is the Featured Site?
Answer: The Featured Site is a random site which changes each update.

How come my Quick View page is blank?
Answer: When the first member joins your Topsites it will be automatically created.

What if I have more sites than links per page?
Answer: Pages will automatically be created for the remaining sites.
